I don't trust machine translation, even if the translated text is going to be proofread and eventually edited by a human translator. I don't think Google's Tools are innovative, since there already were CAT tools that can show to the translator a possible way to translate a part of the text, but the translator him/herself can edit it right away, if necessary.
